RAGEFUL is a Portuguese Death Metal band originally formed in 2011 by drummer and producer Paulo Soares under the name WALL OF DEATH. During its early years, the band established itself within the Portuguese underground scene through an intense live presence and the release of two EPs: [Dis]Illusion in 2013 and Dementia Enhances Understanding in 2014.

In early 2015, significant lineup changes took place, but the band remained active, continuing to promote its latest release through live performances until the end of the year. A defining turning point came in 2016, when the band rebranded itself as RAGEFUL. The name change marked the beginning of a new musical direction, embracing a heavier, more aggressive and mature sound while maintaining strong roots in Old School Death Metal.

After nearly four years of songwriting and production, the debut full-length album INEPTITUDE was released in September 2020, bringing renewed energy to the Portuguese underground Death Metal scene and standing out for its rawness, heaviness and intricate riff work.

Following the pandemic period, the band returned to the stage and continued composing new material. In 2023, guitarist Cláudio Santos left the band and was replaced by Tiago Rocha, who immediately contributed to the split EP Misery, released in April 2024 in collaboration with RUTTENSKALLE, with whom the band shares drummer Paulo Soares.

In September 2025, RAGEFUL released the standalone single Black Hole, further reinforcing its message of discontent, frustration and criticism toward the decay of contemporary society — lyrical themes that have long been part of the band’s identity.

It is on stage, however, that the true fury of RAGEFUL comes to life. In recent years, the band has performed at some of Portugal’s most relevant metal festivals, including Butchery at Christmas, Almada Death Fest, Massacre Metal Fest, Milagre Metaleiro Open Air, Viseu Death Fest, Xapada Fest, Shores of Death Metal Fest and Hard Metal Fest.

RAGEFUL delivers its message in one way only: pure, brutal and rage-fueled Death Metal.
